Applications

Applications are open from 12 November 2012 to 04 January 2013. To process your application, you must complete the online form in the application page, following the guidelines provided.

Applicants can be young scientists beginning their careers in the field of astrocytes or senior scientists wishing to refresh their glial background.

Registration is limited to 30 participants. Applicants will be selected on the basis of their scientific background and relevance of the course in their current research.

The registration fee is 750 EUR. This amount covers:

• the tuition fee and accompanying materials
• full board and lodging (in shared double room*) at the school venue (arrival 17 March, departure 23 March 2013)
• halfday trip to Ravenna (including transportation, guided tours, and dinner in Ravenna)

*in justifiable cases, a single room may be requested; if assigned, a surcharge will apply.

N.B. Registration not received within the deadline will be subject to a late payment surcharge.

Scholars, who confirmed their intention to take advantage of the service, have been assigned a place in one of the following buses (check your e-mail for your assigned bus):

• From Bologna airport: 12:30
• From Forlì train station: 15:00

Places are limited so please do not board a different one without contacting the organisers beforehand. Thank you for your cooperation.

In Bologna, the bus will wait outside the arrivals area, to the left, near the main bus station and the taxis (see picture below); please don't make the drivers wait unnecessarily.

In Forlì the bus will be waiting outside the train station, on the left.

Both buses will have a sign with the name of the School.

Cultural activities

To complement the intensive scientific programme, a half day has been assigned to cultural activities. Participating students will be taken to Ravenna, where guided tours will be offered. The excursion will be concluded with a dinner party at a local restaurant with regional specialities of Ravenna and Emilia-Romagna, before returning to Bertinoro.
